ELOCON – medicinal ointment is used for inflammatory reactions and itching in dermatosis.
Ingredients: mometasone furoate 1mg, hexylene glycol, phosphoric acid, propylene glycol stereate, beeswax, petroleum jelly, purified water.
How does the drug work?
It has anti-inflammatory, antipruritic and anti-exudative action. Corticosteroids induce the release of phospholipase A2 inhibitory proteins, collectively known as lipocortins, which control the biosynthesis of inflammatory mediators such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes by inhibiting the release of their common precursor, arachidonic acid.
How to take and dosage.
Apply externally. The dosage regimen is set individually, depending on the indications, the age of the patient, the dosage form used.
Side effects: allergic reactions may occur at the site of application of the product, redness and burning.
Contraindications: hypersensitivity to mometasone, rosacea, perioral dermatitis, bacterial, viral, fungal infections of the skin, tuberculosis, syphilis, pregnancy.
