Description:
Verampil is a drug that has one of the main drugs of the calcium channel blockers group. It has antiarrhythmic, antianginal and antihypertensive effects. It is used for the treatment and prevention of cardiac arrhythmias, as well as for the treatment and prevention of chronic stable angina pectoris, and for the treatment of arterial hypertension.

The main active ingredient in the composition is Verapamil HCI.

Dosing regimen.
Calan tablet is taken with or after meals with a small amount of water.
For the prevention of angina attacks, for the treatment of arterial hypertension and arrhythmia, the drug is prescribed to start at 40-80 mg 3 or 4 times a day. The dose can be increased to 120-180 mg. The maximum dose per day is 480 mg.
Side effects and contraindications.
Side effects: redness of the face, lowering blood pressure, nausea, vomiting, constipation, dizziness, headaches, skin rash, itching.
Contraindications: bradycardia, chronic heart failure, age up to 18 years, hypersensitivity, breastfeeding period.
