How does the drug work?
Facilitates and stops the manifestations of menopausal syndrome (feeling hot, sweating, dizziness, irritability, depression). Prevents the development of osteoporosis, involution of the genital organs. Contributes to the normalization of the menstrual cycle in women of childbearing age. In men, it lowers testosterone levels.
How to take and dosage.
Set individually. The recommended dose for cyclic use is 0.625-1.25 mg / day. Alternate reception for 3 weeks with a break of 1 week. In the presence of menstrual bleeding, the reception is started from the 5th day of the menstrual cycle, and from the 15th to the 21st day, any progestin preparation is additionally prescribed. With a prolonged absence of menstruation, treatment begins spontaneously on any day. If necessary, on the 5-7th day of treatment, the daily dose can be increased to 3.75 mg, then it is reduced to 1.25 mg.
In prostate cancer, the dose is set individually, depending on the treatment regimen.
Side effects: possible nausea, vomiting, weight gain, uterine bleeding, edema, transient increase in activity.
Contraindications: breast cancer, bleeding, heart disease, pregnancy.
