Dosing regimen.
The medicine is taken orally, regardless of the meal. Individual dose selection should be carried out by the attending physician and under medical supervision, including constant monitoring of blood pressure. As a rule, the initial therapeutic dose should be at least 15g per day, after which it is gradually increased until the desired clinical effect is achieved. If necessary, and if the drug is well tolerated, the dosage can be increased to a maximum value of 15 mg / day. With a too pronounced decrease in blood pressure, the dose of the drug is gradually reduced.

Side effects: nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, dry mouth, decreased potency, skin itching, increased sweating, sleep disturbance, feeling cold, numbness of the extremities.
Contraindications: arterial hypotension, cardiogenic shock, chronic heart failure, hypersensitivity to atenolol.
